Artist: Jay-Z
Song: Song Cry
Album: Blueprint
Lyrics From: http://www.azlyrics.com
The most incredible baby
Uhh - mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm
Yeah, yeah.. uhh
I can't see 'em comin down my eyes
So I gotta make the song cry
I can't see 'em comin down my eyes
So I gotta make the song cry
[Jay-Z]
Good dude - I know you love me like cooked food
Even though a ni*ga got move like a crook move
We was together on the block since free lunch
We shoulda been together havin 4 Seasons brunch
We used to use umbrellas to face the bad weather
So now we travel first class to change the forecast
Never in bunches, just me and you
I loved your point of view cause you held no punches
Still I left you for months on end
It's been months since I checked back in
Well somewhere in a small town, somewhere lockin a mall down
Woodgrain, four and change, Armor All'd down
I can understand why you want a divorce now
Though I can't let you know it, pride won't let me show it
Pretend to be heroic, that's just one to grow with
But deep inside a ni*ga so sick
[Chorus]
I can't see 'em comin down my eyes
So I gotta make the song cry
I can't see 'em comin down my eyes
So I gotta let the song cry
I can't see it comin down my eyes
So I gotta make the song cry
I can't see it comin down my eyes
So I gotta make the song cry
[Jay-Z]
On repeat, the CD of Big's "Me and My B*tch"
Watchin Bonnie and Clyde, pretendin to be that sh*t
Empty gun in your hand sayin, "Let me see that clip"
Shoppin sprees, pull out your Visa quick
A nigga had very bad credit, you helped me lease that whip
You helped me get the keys to that V dot 6
We was so happy poor but when we got rich
That's when our signals got crossed, and we got flipped
Rather mine, I don't know what made me leave that shit
Made me speed that quick, let me see - that's it
It was the cheese helped them bi*ches get amnesia quick
I used to cut up they buddies, now they sayin they love me
Used to tell they friends I was ugly and wouldn't touch me
Then I showed up in that dubbed out buggy
And then they got FUZZY and they don't remember that
And I don't remember you..
[Chorus]
I can't see it comin down my eyes
So I gotta make the song cry
I can't see it comin down my eyes
So I gotta make the song cry
Yeah I seen 'em comin down your eyes
But I gotta make the song cry
I can't see it comin down my eyes
So I gotta make the song cry
[Jay-Z]
A face of stone, was shocked on the other end of the phone
Word back home is that you had a special friend
So what was oh so special then?
You have given away without gettin at me
That's your fault, how many times you forgiven me?
How was I to know that you was plain sick of me?
I know the way a ni*ga livin was whack
But you don't get a ni*ga back like that!
Sh*t I'm a man with pride, you don't do sh*t like that
You don't just pick up and leave and leave me sick like that
You don't throw away what we had, just like that
I was just fuc*in them girls, I was gon' get right back
They say you can't turn a bad girl good
But once a good girl's goin bad, she's gone forever..
I'll mourn forever
Shit I gotta live with the fact I did you wrong forever
[Chorus]
I can't see 'em comin down my eyes
So I gotta make the song cry
I can't see 'em comin down my eyes
So I gotta let the song cry
I know I seen 'em comin down your eyes
But I gotta make the song cry
I can't see 'em comin down my eyes
So I gotta make the song cry
[Jay-Z]

The overall message from this song is that men do a lot of hurtful things to a women they love while in a relationship and don't expect them to leave, until one day that girl you love leaves you for another man.
FAVORITE SECTION OF THE SONG: "You don't throw away what we had, just like that
I was just fuc*in them girls, I was gon' get right back
They say you can't turn a bad girl good
But once a good girl's goin bad, she's gone forever.."
Jay-Z was saying don't just give up on our relationship so fast, and telling her that those other females don't matter to him regardless of what they were doing. And that he was going to still be there and with her regardless of what he does with other women. And then he realizes that he lost something special, and now that it is gone he hurt and it's killing that she is gone forever.
Jay-Z's Song Cry is one of the most emotionally geared song he's done. And this time it isn't about the fame and glory and the streets. Its about love and he also shows men that it is ok to say that its there fault but at the same time she's responsible for not being straight out with him, and that men will only do what you allow. Its just a piece of art this is one of my favorite Jay-Z songs ever.

Olive Harvey Image and Rhyme post
when i look at the building of olive harvey/ i say to myself i can get an education and be a educated black man like marcus garvey/ the building is the place where you go in and hopefully come out with some knowledge/ they say everyone black man isnt fit for this thing called college/ but im going to make it and my presence people will soon 1 day acknowledge/ because where the dirt spots are in my life this will help keep em polished/ the scenery around the school doesnt say much/ but if i could just get my hand on this whole school thing than success i know i can touch/.
now if i was an outsider looking in i would definitely think that the school and building is a place where i would love and want to be. based off the lyrics it is a place where you can go obtain knowledge and get you an education. the school is located around the hood so the ghettoness is still there but thats on the outside looking in. once you get in you see no ghetto but a place where everyone is doign something positive. the teachers are being positive because they are teaching materials that we need to know and go ahead in life and the students are also because we are willing to learn to better ourselves

My song... My message
first off i will like to say R.I.P Tupac. This man was a powerful rapper. he was like a musical genisus. i chose this sopng because coming up in the life i have i lost alot of people. Pac song "life goes On" helps me deal with te lost. it is not just about the ones that died but the ones that going to jail for almost life. death is almost easier to deal with then jail, well to me. jail is like a tease, they take a person away from us for life and put them 1000's miles away. that is almost like death but not dead. The judges are giving out time to our black men without a care. Tell me why is it drugs can carry 10 years to life... but a rape only carrries 4 years? which crime is worst to you? ill tell you why, because more whites are charged with rape and malestation then blacks. i know i got off the topic but it almost go hand and hand with the subject. Pac made this song for the Ni**as like me. thanks Pac this is a great song, thanks for feeling my pain. "Eyes blurry saying goodbye at the cemetary" i love that part. its saying that we as strong black people we hold back our tears to try to stay strong... blurry eyes... not crying eyes because we shared so many tears already
